JOYSON TOOLING becomes Tool-Maker of the year 2017
The winner in the category „internal tool & die making above 50 employees” is Joyson Safety Systems. With this result, the jury of the competition "Excellence in Production" appreciate especially reducing the design effort by up to 30 percent with defined standard tool types. Also noteworthy is the consistent development of internal training for employees at the site in Romania. In addition, the company has a high data consistency between design, work preparation and mechanical production in the sense of a "single source of truth" - so the jury’s explanation.
"Excellence in Production" is the annual competition held by the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL of the RWTH Aachen University and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT to find the best tool-maker in the German-speaking world.

Fast, flexible, innovative and cost-effective: our lead toolmaking factory in Aschaffenburg offers product, process and tooling expertise in engineering and construction. It is the nerve center of a seamless network of European tooling operations.
This allows us to take advantage of cost differentials between western and eastern Europe and build on each location’s specific skills.

Our Aschaffenburg headquarters employs highly motivated tooling and production machinery experts, specializing in traditional technology and systems development for our European customers.
Arad / Romania
Our Arad facility is a self-contained business unit within Joyson's European tooling operations, and also carries out repairs and maintenance for our production sites. Its highly motivated team has access to a full range of state-of-the-art technology.
